Tips
- Keep units clean and dry.
- Never plug or unplug heads while pack is charged up .
- Always wait for "ready" light to be ON before switching
isolate/combine or A + B switches.
- Keep reflectors clean using cloth dampened with Windex to
get maximum light output
- Avoid touching flashtubes and model lamps with bare fingers
; grease will leave a black mark ; clean with Methyl alcohol and let
dry before using.
- Check that the ground pin of the three prong plug is still
there for your safety.
- If equipment makes unusual noises such as crackling and
sparking sounds, it surely needs to be opened , inspected, and likely
serviced.
- In winter, watch out for condensation
as a result of going from the outside to hot buildings; Allow units to
warm up to room temperature before plugging them in.
- When storing power packs , Remove from storage
monthly,apply power for 10-15 minutes to "form" capacitors.
- Never leave studio lighting equipment unattended ,as model
lamps get hot enough to start fires; if you go out for lunch , or at
the end of the day, Turn everything OFF.
- When shipping equipment for repair, make sure box is large
enough to have at least 4" packing material on all sides of unit, and
don't forget to re-tape bottom of box .
